Operation Directors
William Sotka
is an accomplished health tech executive with a 23 year career, specializes in endothelial function diagnostics and nitric oxide supplementation. He successfully launched and deployed the CVProfilor™ (2002-2006). Currently, Mr. Sotka leads global sales and implementation of its research version, the CR-2000. His extensive experience has enabled him to drive the adoption of the CVProfilor™.
Collaborating with nitric oxide scientist Shawn J. Green, PhD, Mr. Sotka played a crucial role in launching a professional nitric oxide supplement that has been proven in peer-reviewed studies to lower blood pressure and enhance endothelial function. His uniquely presented product, in the form of chewing gum, has been demonstrated in pre-clinical studies to improve systemic endothelial health.
His enduring commitment underscores his reputation as a leader in advancing endothelial health solutions, the earliest indicator of both cardiovascular pathogenesis and health.
Maurice Taylor
is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Cardiology Prevention, LLC, which is the industry leader in pre-clinical detection, evaluation, and treatment of cardiovascular disease in asymptomatic patients. Its subsidiary, HeartSavers Clinics™, has helped detect and treat cardiovascular disease in over 100,000 patients.
In addition to the HeartSavers Clinics™, Cardiology Prevention, LLC has two additional operating units: Hypertension Diagnostics Research™, with the FDA approved diagnostic equipment like the CVProfilor®, and the CardioVascular Centers, which provide the International licensing of the HeartSavers Clinics™ program.
Mr. Taylor was the founder and CEO of Chronimed Medical, an integrated healthcare company that specializes in diagnostic equipment and pharmaceuticals. As a previous Chairman of Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute, Mr. Taylor has been dedicated to ensuring people have access to quality healthcare for almost 40 years.
Clinical Directors
Dr. Jay N. Cohn, MD
is the Clinical Director of Cardiology Prevention, LLC and a world-renowned cardiologist. Although he is retired from practicing medicine, Dr. Cohn is still being awarded for his groundbreaking developments in cardiovascular disease treatments. He was selected as the American College of Cardiology’s 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
Dr. Cohn is the retired Director for the Rasmussen Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, the previous Head of the Cardiovascular Division of the University of Minnesota Medical School, and a member and fellow of dozens of national and international societies and organizations.

Dr. Mahfouz El Shahawy, MD
is a world-renowned board certified cardiologist with subspecialty training in disease prevention. Dr. Shahawy has been recognized and awarded for his superb dedication to cardiovascular health worldwide. Of particular note is his Golden Doctor Diploma from the University of Vienna in 2014.
Dr. Shahawy currently sits as the Medical Director for the Cardiovascular Health Assessment Center, the President of the Cardiovascular Center of Sarasota Florida, the President of the International Society
for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, as well as a member and fellow of many more worldwide organizations.
